The Department of Agrarian Development is the primary government authority responsible for protecting agricultural land, supporting rural cultivators and preserving village-level water systems across Sri Lanka. Through Agrarian Service Centres, the Department brings public assistance, legal guidance and agricultural input support closer to farming communities.
